I hope everyone had a great summer.

It seems like we were just in the throws of the humid, hot summer, barely able to knit due to the sticky weather and bang we are in the autumn mode in need of some hot soup and wool knitting.

The executive board met during the summer and has planned another good year for the Nutmeg Knitters. First of all, I am pleased that we may again use the Bethany Covenant Church for our monthly meetings, meeting in the same lower level room.

Our first meeting will be more of a business one where we can pay our membership dues. There are 3 new slots that will need to be filled:

1. Co-manage hospitality with Sue Loalbo. This job encompasses calling the hostesses for the month, reminding them that it is the month they had signed up for and keeping all the monthly supplies and teapot. Also, they will organize the holiday buffet.

2.Raffle Chairman: 1 or 2 people who love to shop and love yarn shops.( Does this leave anyone out?) This year we will again do a monthly raffle, however, we will purchase the item or items with the value of at least $25-30 instead of asking the shops for a donation.

3. Vice President- would preside at meetings in the President’s absence, an infrequent occurrence!)

We will also be collecting the preemie and newborn hats for our charity knitting.

Our september newsletter is also available!
