Happy Fall! It was great to see so many new faces (10) at our first meeting as well as our old friends. Everyone was generously busy over the summer. The charity collection for newborns and preemies was awesome with some real cute designs on the hats, sweaters, etc. There were also some larger items that will be donated appropriately. We sure did our guild proud!

ladyGina Kahn and Pat Peters graciously offered to help with hospitality, Silvia Flynn and Deb Rizzo offered to be in charge of putting the second afghan together and Elaine Salinger and Karen Bergeron volunteered to be in charge of the monthly raffle. The only position left open is the V.P. Any takers?

We are off to a good start with a workshop planned for Nov. 14 at Sit and Knit in Bloomfield . I have never been to that shop before and look forward to checking it out during class. Particulars on the class will be forth coming. Our next meeting will host our own experienced knitter, Sivia Flynn, who will present a program on Double Knitting (pattern on both sides).Of course we will have time for show and tell at the end of the meeting. I get SOoooo many new ideas from everybody.

A reminder for those interested: Stitches East is coming to the CT Convention Center Oct. 23- Oct. 25. More info available at KnittingUniverse.com/EMarket.
Keep those needles clicking,
