NOTE This weeks meeting will be at 6:30 PM – December 16th, 2009
Say it isn’t so! Time is going quickly. The days are flying by and my creative juices are bubbling. I think there may be a few boxes with yarn, picture and an IOU. That is a family tradition with fond memories for me as I ALWAYS got a box filled with material and a pattern, with an IOU from my Mom. I have milked this idea on my husband. I started a Fisherman Sweater which I wrapped up the first year. He thanked me for the “loin cloth.” This went on for 3 years! It ended up being a one of a kind since I ran out of yarn and had to make the neck and arm cables a different color. He stands out in a crowd!
This month’s meeting will be a holiday get together starting at 6:30. Please bring a dish to share. There will be a $20 knitting related grab bag gift exchange for those who want to participate. Of course we will still have our show and tell.
Our club this month has had some personal losses by our members. I have learned that Judy Pascale lost her daughter, Karen Bergeron her Mom, and Jeanne Drury her husband. In friendship, we offer our condolences.
During this crazy, bustling season, may you find time to sit down with some comforting yarn, relax and connect with the simple pleasures that life holds.
Happy Holidays and Keep Those Needles Clicking,
Ginny
